In a rather wholesome bit of news, Armored Core VI was voted as the Player’s Choice winner for August.
These Player’s Choice awards come from the official PlayStation blog, where readers can vote for the game’s they enjoyed playing the most for that month.
For August, it seems that PlayStation gamers were more than happy to vote for Armored Core VI, which is interesting as the game was only released towards the end of the month.
It’s also worth pointing out that the Armored Core series has had a long and storied history with PlayStation, as the original trilogy of games on the first PlayStation were in part funded and published by Sony.
Not to mention that the Armored Core series was somewhat of tentpole franchise for the PlayStation 2’s launch, with games like Armored Core 2 being a big part of that.
The sad thing is that after that, the Armored Core games were pretty much dropped by the Western gaming press and publishers. Not receiving any meaningful promotion and marketing at all really.
Thankfully, all of that has now changed with the release of Armored Core VI. As these games are now rightfully getting the attention they so sorely deserve.
