Extra Clues, Answers For Friday, September 19

Before we get to today’s NYT Mini crossword hints, clues and answers, here are Thursday’s:

Wondering what it means to cancel on plans at the last moment? Not sure who the sardonic boss on Parks and Recreation is? Don’t worry, because I’m here to help you with extra hints and the answers for today’s NYT Mini crossword.

The NYT Mini is a quick version of the newspaper’s larger, long-running crossword. Most days, there are between three and five clues in each direction on a five by five Mini grid, but the puzzles are sometimes larger, especially on Saturdays.

Unfortunately, the New York Times has now made the Mini available only to subscribers. It was previously free to play. You’ll also need an NYT Games subscription to access previous puzzles in the archives.

Here are extra hints and the official NYT Mini Crossword clues and answers for Thursday, September 18:

Spoilers lie ahead, so remember to scroll slowly:

NYT Mini Crossword Clues And Answers

NYT Mini Down Answers

1 Down: Stylish panache – FLAIR

2 Down: Party game that tests how low you can go – LIMBO

It took me 0:39 to complete today’s NYT Mini.

Not a bad time for me today. I’m annoyed I messed up by guessing “mauve” for 6 Across – not sure why my brain went there, and that slowed me down a bit. Love to see a RON Swanson reference in the Mini. He’s an all-time great TV character.

I didn’t get I BET, so I had two missing letters to fill in for most of the Down answers, but I got through those pretty quickly.

That’s the end of my current stint of NYT Mini coverage. See you in two weeks!
