One of the key features of any smartwatch is how it deals with fitness and exercise. While Google had its own system in Google Health, the launch of the Pixel Watch last year instead used the Fitbit platform, which Google acquired in 2021. With the Pixel Watch 2 launching at this week’s “Made By Google” event, a leak this weekend confirms the Fitbit integration remains.
One of the interfaces that can be seen, both on the phone and on a sample dialog box, presumably from the Pixel Watch app on your phone, shows a timeline of your stress during the day. This will utilise the new electrodermal activity sensor previously seen in the teaser video.
The second leak shows the revamped feedback screen on the Pixel Watch 2 during workouts. Not only will your heart rate be highlighted, but your time in the “target zone” for the rate during exercise is also on display.
According to previous leaks, Google is expected to offer the Pixel Watch 2 for free to consumers pre-ordering the Pixel 8 Pro.
