Taylor Vs. Serrano 3 Will Set A World Record—Here’s How To Watch

The third time is the charm—or at least that’s what Amanda Serrano will be hoping when she takes on Katie Taylor on Friday, July 11 at Madison Square Garden in New York. Serrano lost the first two fights against her rival by disputed decisions in 2022 and 2024, and now she’s hoping to claim a victory for herself and on the largest stage women’s boxing has ever seen.

Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) has pulled out all the stops to make sure this isn’t just another trilogy fight. In fact, this card is set to break a Guinness World Record for the most world championship belts ever contested on a single fight card—male or female.

A staggering 17 world titles will be on the line across five high-stakes matchups, all featuring women’s unified or undisputed championship fights, and all airing live on Netflix.

This event is huge and it is great to see so many of the top women’s fighters competing on the card. While that is satisfying, I can’t help but point out the absence of the greatest female fighter in history, Claressa Shields, undisputed champion Franchon Crews-Dezurn and welterweight champion Mikaela Mayer. If they were all in action that would have made this significant event even more of a must-see.

Headlining the record-breaking evening is Taylor, the undisputed super lightweight champion, taking on Serrano, the unified featherweight champion. Their bout will be contested over 10 two-minute rounds for Taylor’s undisputed crown at 140 pounds. It’s a legacy-defining fight for both competitors—and it sets the tone for the entire card.

Here’s a look at the complete card and viewing information.

Date: Friday, July 11

Time: 6pm ET

Watch: Netflix

Location: Madison Square Garden in NY

  • Katie Taylor (24-1-0) vs. Amanda Serrano (47-3-1): 10 Rounds – For Taylor’s undisputed women’s junior welterweight championship
  • Alycia Baumgardner (15-1) vs. Jennifer Miranda (12-0-0): 10 Rounds – For Baumgardner’s undisputed women’s junior lightweight championship
  • Savannah Marshall (13-1-0) vs. Shadasia Green (15-1-0): 10 Rounds – For Marshall’s IBF women’s super middleweight title and Green’s WBO super middleweight title
  • Ellie Scotney (10-0-0) vs. Yamileth Mercado (24-3-0): 10 Rounds – For Scotney’s IBF and WBO women’s junior featherweight titles and Mercado’s WBC women’s junior featherweight title
  • Cherneka Johnson (17-2-0) vs. Shurretta Metcalf (14-4-1): 10 Rounds – For Metcalf’s IBF women’s bantamweight title and the vacant WBO and WBC women’s bantamweight titles
  • Chantelle Cameron (20-1-0) vs. Jessica Camara (14-4-1): 10 Rounds – For Cameron’s WBC women’s interim junior welterweight title
  • Ramla Ali (9-2-0) vs. Lila Furtado (11-2-0): Eight Rounds – Junior featherweight
  • Tamm Thibeault (2-0-0) vs. Mary Casamassa (6-0-0): Eight Rounds – Middleweight, per BoxRec

While Serrano and Taylor are both going to be well compensated for this fight, and could easily win the $250,000 bonus for top performance, the pressure is on Serrano.

Her legacy as one of the best ever is rock solid, but she will undoubtedly be a tier below Taylor when all is said and done if she falls short again–no matter the controversy around the decision.

Winning and doing it definitively is seemingly her only option to gain real ground in their series. Serrano is 36 and Taylor is 39. This could easily be the last time either of them climbs into the ring to compete. There’s a lot on the line.

No matter the outcome, it wouldn’t surprise me to see both women retire in the ring. They have both done their part to elevate women in the sport, and the undercard is filled with women like Baumgardner who are seemingly ready and willing to step up to the next level.

Also, I’d keep an eye on social media for comments from Shields and Crews-Dezurn. Something tells me they will be heard from during the festivities.
