There’s Only One Good Reason To Watch ‘Ahsoka’ On Disney Plus

Ahsoka is the latest in a long line of Star Wars shows that have landed on Disney+ some of which have blown our collective minds and some of which have been shockingly terrible.

The good ones:

  1. The Mandalorian Seasons 1 and 2
  2. The second half of The Book Of Boba Fett which was mostly The Mandalorian
  3. Andor, by a long mile, because it’s the best Star Wars since the OG trilogy

The bad ones:

  • The Book Of Boba Fett
  • The Little Leia Show (aka Obi-Wan Kenobi)
  • The Mandalorian Season 3

I guess that’s a 50% ratio, but it’s still not great. Ahsoka only has two episodes out so far, so I can’t really say whether or not the Rosario Dawson space fantasy will be good or bad or anything else yet, but I do have a lot of skepticism at this point, and if we’re being honest, it sits right between the good ones and the bad ones in the above list.

But I also think it’s very important that everyone who loves Star Wars watches these episodes, not because I think it expands the story in any meaningful way, or enriches our understanding of the lore.

Mostly, I just think you’ll get a kick out of this ‘Qui-Gon Jinn Reacts’ video from impressionist Charlie Hopkinson, who did a lot of great stuff back when The Rings Of Power was the talk of the town, belle of the proverbial ball.

If you’ve ever wanted to watch Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon and Anakin sit around and giggle and joke about a Star Wars show, look no further. It’s one of the most hilarious parody videos out there. Do yourself a favor and watch it. Just watch Ahsoka first so you get all the jokes.

You can read my review of Ahsoka here.
