TikTok Wants To Know If Henry Cavill Met His Biggest Fan At ‘The Witcher’ Season 3 Premiere

It’s official: Henry Cavill met his biggest fan at the premiere of season 3 of Netflix’s The Witcher, concluding a saga of furry fandom that played out over TikTok.

Season 3 marks Cavill’s final appearance on the show before Liam Hemsworth takes over the role of Geralt Of Rivia. Cavill’s performance was hugely popular with Witcher fans, and one fan known as “Rory the Frenchie” has become internet-famous for her obsession with Cavill.

Rory finally met the man of her dreams, after she attending the premiere dressed as Geralt of Rivia, silver wig and all.

Who Is Rory the Frenchie?

Rory is the star of TikTok account @rorythefrenchie, a humble French bulldog who has seemingly developed a fascination with Henry Cavill.

Heather Land, Rory’s owner, noticed that her dog paid an unusual amount of attention to the TV while she was watching The Witcher, and posted a few clips on TikTok to prove it.

Rory seemed just as interested in Man of Steel, leading Land to believe that it was Cavill’s charisma that held her dog’s attention.

Land soon built a dedicated audience on TikTok (her channel currently boasts more than 405,000 followers) by posting clips of her dog reacting to pictures and performances of Cavill, staring at The Witcher star in admiration.

Rory’s admirers have sent the dog enough Witcher merchandise for Land to build into a small shrine for the Cavill-obsessed canine to sleep in; Land says that Rory acts “visibly upset” if her Cavill toys are taken away.

When Land revealed that Netflix had reached out and invited them to London for the season 3 premiere of The Witcher, her TikTok announcement went viral and racked up more than 3 million views.

Rory’s fans waited for the meeting with baited breath.

The premiere came and went, with snapshots of Rory stealing the show.

After the big day, Land posted a video of Rory listening attentively to the sound of Cavill’s voice, showing that the two were in the same room, but there was no video of the two meeting.

Land promised her followers that there would be a big reveal, at some point, urging fans to be patient in a video which has accumulated more than 850,000 views.

The mystery sparked a frenzy of anticipation, as TikTokers speculated on whether the long-anticipated meeting really happened, or if Netflix was instructing Land to delay the reveal.

Update: The video of Rory’s much-hyped meeting with Henry Cavil has dropped on TikTok, as promised.

Rory, seemingly star-struck, got a pat on the head from her favorite actor; the video concludes with a quote from Geralt of Rivia:

“People linked by destiny will always find each other.”
