CEO and Founder at MetaTrace, GameFi project featuring a Free to Play and Earn model on a real-world map.
The most essential thing in a human’s life is his goal. At the same time, the purpose of preserving nature is one of the most important for all mankind.
These are the words I want to begin my story with.
On planet Earth, in one simple and rather ordinary town, there lived a rather difficult person. His uniqueness from others was that every day, he thought of the beauty and grandeur of nature. On one of those days, he thought about the significance of his life and suddenly felt a great desire to change the world. The purpose appeared before him like a bright star in the blue sky. A great idea was born in his head: to create a whole universe that would show people the beauty of the world that our hero sees. Such a universe will encourage people to protect nature and make our world a better place. …
But to give you a heads-up, I’ll have to switch to more formal language. However, we will return to our hero shortly.
Develop A Communication Strategy
After walking a rather long and thorny path, I am ready to give other business leaders some tips on finding and establishing a connection with environmental funds. MetaTrace universe’s immediate mission is to find partners, particularly funds working to protect the environment. The very first obstacle we encountered was a complete lack of communication channels with eco-funds. We tried to contact them by phone and e-mail, and after dozens of attempts, we managed to contact some funds. My first piece of advice: Always use several communication channels, and do not dwell on failures. As practice has shown me, some people check email rarely. So if you are looking for environmental partners and don’t get an answer from them within a few working days, make a direct call to the company to move the case forward faster.
Look For Partners With Shared Values
Then comes the second issue: Right after the funds found out about our activity in the crypto industry, many immediately refused to cooperate, including fairly large funds with a worldwide reputation. Those funds, experienced with the crypto field, simply did not believe that a small company has serious intentions and shared values. I advise you to pay close attention to the last factor: Shared values have a key role to play in successful cooperation. The best option is to study the funds suitable for your business, including the way they operate and the issues they solve. Ask yourself whether the problem the foundation is working on is close to your mission and whether their methods are a good fit for your goals.
… One day, our hero, full of determination, went to the darkest part of the dense forest. He knew that was the place where the dragon lives—he was corrupt and ruthless and bore an honest name for profit. Our hero believed that by defeating this powerful beast, he could stop the destruction of ecosystems and destroy dishonest corruption funds forever. …
Trust But Verify
In other words, there were also refusals to collaborate on our side when we were not sure about the transparency of the work of the funds or saw their unwillingness to publicly cover work with us. For example, some funds might refuse to provide reports and supporting materials. My next tip is to pay attention to the availability of reporting documents and how willingly companies or funds provide them. You can trust but should still verify not only their words and stories but also the photos and videos they share on social networks and websites. If the company is honest in its actions, then you can easily get acquainted with all of the above.
… On the way to his goal, our hero faced an immense number of obstacles. People refused to support him, businessmen pursued their selfish interests, and many even laughed at his ideas, but he did not give up. Every day, he fought those who stood in his way because he knew that he could not allow the dragon to destroy the nature and possibilities of future generations. Ultimately, the creator of his universe gathered a group of like-minded people who shared his beliefs and goals.
Develop Successful Events With Partners
Now let me explain. We wanted to create a kind of “Noah’s Ark” by gathering a powerful database of partners in the MetaTrace universe with different expertise: It could be gardening, reducing CO2 emissions or saving animals. Also, we were looking for funds to support people affected by road accidents to promote traffic rules and bring more awareness of the topic.
As a result, our “Ark” began its formation with multiple partners. To date, we have held and participated in several significant events, including beach cleaning in Indonesia, landscaping in Cyprus, a charity event for children in Brazil, the Holi festival in India, Carnival in Brazil, and providing support for victims of the earthquake in Turkey.
The way you organize any event will be unique, but I’d like to provide several tips for creating a successful event: Follow the news and learn about the issues that are important in the region your company covers to ensure your event resonates. Look for partners for the event that align with your goals, and most importantly, genuinely aim to be helpful. You don’t need a superpower to make the planet a better place; it’s enough to have like-minded people and the desire to change this world.
