Understanding the significance of self-promotion, utilizing digital marketing techniques, and the power of social media platforms is essential. For self-promotion, make sure to interact with fellow artists at your venue performances. At venues, you can exchange social media information and music to stay in touch. 3. Intellectual property: Musicians need to protect their creations. It’s vital to understand copyright laws, trademarks and licensing agreements. Make sure to understand their role in safeguarding artists’ work from unauthorized use. It’s important to understand both the opportunities and challenges of this digital era. Digital streaming platforms and social media platforms are what create artists and get you heard nowadays. This is the new way of the music industry, so make sure you utilize what is right in front of you to the best of your ability. To get the most out of streaming platforms and gain listeners, make sure to release content very frequently.

By understanding these concepts, musicians of different backgrounds can better grasp the business aspects of the music industry. This knowledge can enable them to navigate the music industry more effectively and make informed decisions to support their careers.
